Looking for feedback on a new free public resume/profile search service

We just launched a free beta service that simplifies the process of doing Boolean queries to find resumes/profiles online. You can still use Boolean operators, but we automate the more mundane tasks of finding people online (e.g., site-specific search is as easy as toggling the sites you'd like to search, etc.). I'd love to get your feedback on this thread about the current service and any other enhancements that you think would make it more valuable.

I just tried it.

My keywords were "branch manager" banking and in the location I inserted Illinois.

The networking profiles seemed quite accurate, however the general web resumes were way off. One was a IT developer, others out of the country, etc-

Not sure if I did something incorrect or your General web strings need correcting-

The first guy in the results actually was a branch manager in 2003. That said we could improve the location filtering. I encourage you to try it out with some other queries to see if the results are any better.--jeff

Hi Jeff!

I just jumped on the the beta service and LOVED it. I specifically recruit TS cleared individuals and my candidate pool no matter where I source from is typically very small. I look for individuals in the Maryland and Virginia area. I did a simple string with just a specific clearance "TS-SCI" and in location I put Maryland. I got more resumes than expected so now I can just drill down on specific areas I am looking for. I however mostly saw LinkedIn resumes and not so many WEB resumes.

All in all it was refreshing to get on something NEW. Keep me posted on any updates...

Glad that you like it. Yes, LinkedIn does have the preponderance of profiles (although there are a surprising number of of folks with resumes posted on the web in other functional areas), but even so, the tool is pretty good at making it really easy to search LI's public profiles. I'll let you know when we release additional functionality.

This is a job well done Jeff. With any boolean search results we need to fish out the good from the bad but overall, well done.

i like the idea of it jeff but it came back with mostly linkedin responses and not general resumes. when i updates the search, selected other sources it still came back with 99% linkedin.

Hey Lauren, sorry to hear that you didn't find many general resumes. Can you share the search query and location that you used?
