Boolean Strings Network

The Internet Sourcing Community

Hello Group:

I am planning an Advanced Sourcing Webinar and would like to ask you for your areas of interest in "advanced" topics.(If you are not familiar with the topics already covered in our Sourcing webinars, take a look at the Training Library.)

I keep seeing interest in:

1) Google Custom Search Engines
2) Web scraping tools like Outwit Hub
3) Organizing information obtained while sourcing (for example, saving Boolean strings)

Are you interested in 1)? 2)? 3)?

Also please suggest some areas that you'd like to be covered in the advanced webinar.

I will provide a guest ticket to one of the members who comments (randomly selected; and more than one guest pass if there are many comments).
I will also post on my blog, covering some of the advanced topics, that you will name in the comments, so that everyone will benefit.

Thanks in advance for your input! :)

2 & 3

I like all topics but am especially interested in

3) Organizing information obtained while sourcing (for example, saving Boolean strings)

Marnie

I'm interested in all 3, but if I had a choice to pick one, it would be number 2.

Thanks!

Interested in all 3 but going deeper than on previous webinars

I am interested in  Organizing information obtained while sourcing .

i strongly feel.. though you are very talented sourcer..if you don't know how to organize ... you job is not complete.

2. Webscraping! Kimono, Outwit, Dataminer

All 3 are great topics but #2 would be preference if only 1 topic were discussed.

Thanks all for posting comments! What are some other topics would you like to see covered? When replying, can you please provide some details and background?

What does a scraper program do? How is it useful?  I use to have a tool that was an add on to the google toolbar and all i had to do was hit a button for what i was looking for and it would complete the search.  Can't remember the name or who made this interactive tool.  Was very very useful - I would love to talk about that one if it is still available.  I used it in 08 or 09. (I know that is a long time ago in the tech world).

Webscraping, and Outwit are two that I know a little about, more info would be helpful.

I would also like more info on understand boolean searching -  I can do a search for different things, but truly understanding how and why to make a change in the string would be helpful.

Competitive and market intelligence techniques. Sourcing metrics to show management ROI.  Ways to capture supply and demand data for talent in a target market.

I would like to participate in all three topics. Please nominate me.

Regards

Franklin...

When is this going down Irina?
