The Internet Sourcing Community

Hello Irina,

I am working on to create CSE for getting only public profiles from various social sites. But when it comes to Google PLUS URL to add it only allows me to enter this format ( plus.google.com/113932102461011905311/about ) which also fetches a results of G+, which i want to avoid, is there any other way that i can get only public profiles of G+ and not company pages when i search or x-ray or when i want to add in CSE.

However below string is gives perfect result but I want to know how add the logic while creating CSE.

site:plus.google.com inurl:about java "lives in *"

It sounds like you already have an answer! :)

You can also try to create a CSE with the following: 1) set the URL to search as a pattern - plus.google.com/*/about 2) at the bottom of the CSE set-up page choose the Schema.org object called "Person". You can read more about schema.org objects and related search operators in my post, and learn more (if you choose so) by getting the recording and slides for the webinar "Custom Search Engines for Everyone" available in our Training Library.
