Removing Candidates with International Addresses From Search Results

Does anyone have a good addition to strings to elimintate candidates with international addresses?

LET ME BE CLEAR:

This request is in NO WAY to eliminate foreign candidates from my searches!!! Rather, it is to reduce the amount of candidates with international addresses so my results will be only those who reside in the U.S. My assumption is that candidates with foreign addresses do not live in the U.S., which would be a challenge for one of my clients in terms of relocation packages.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

If you remove the email addresses ending in a 2-letter country abbreviation that may help (.in, .ru, uk, etc)
Rami's idea is very good. You can also break that down to specific regions for example (75201..75398 | DALLAS) focuses the search to Dallas, TX area. You will however, lose those who do not put their zip code on their profile.

The difficulty with removing the country codes is that it requires much more work, and still may cut out alot of good candidates. For example .me and .ly are foreign codes that are gaining in popularity in the US.

You also get a really long search string if you have to do a NOT search operator for all of the different countries in the world. The only time I might use that is if all of my candidates seemed to be from the same wrong country or few countries.

Does 00210-99950 cover every US zip code?

Yes it is the smallest zip code and the longest zip code in the USA.

I tried incorporating the zip code into one of my queries now my string does not return any candidates. Can someone give me an example of how to incorporate the zip code into a string? Below is the string I have now until I added the zip code qualfier to the end:

(inurl:resume|intitle:resume|intitle:cv|intitle:vitae) (sand OR "sand casting") AND aluminum AND magnesium -~job -jobs (00210..99950)

Remove the parantheses from around the zip code range and it will work, but, this zip code search isn't very effective at narrowing your search results because of the large num range it uses. (inurl:resume|intitle:resume|intitle:cv|intitle:vitae) (sand OR "sand casting") AND aluminum AND magnesium -~job -jobs 00210..99950
