This class is scheduled for two sessions:

• Thursday, August 24th @ 8 AM Pacific - Part 2, Filtering the Web with Metadata

This interactive two-part course is based on our book "Custom Search – Discover more:". Whether you're a Sourcer, Recruiter, or Researcher, Google's Programmable Search Engines (formerly Custom Search Engines) can be a valuable tool in your search arsenal. In this course, we will introduce you to the full range of what CSEs can do, including CSE "hacks" to extend the reach of your searches.

We will show you how to create simple and complex CSEs, even if you have a non-technical background. With CSEs, you can eliminate the need for advanced Boolean operators, expand the limits of Google's search capabilities, and search for structured information on the web. Additionally, CSEs provide an easy way for advanced users to share searches with less experienced team members, making it a great collaboration tool.

As part of the course, you will have access to more than twenty Custom Search Engines built and used by our Master Sourcers. You can use these CSEs as-is or take them as inspiration to develop specialized CSEs that can save you time and effort in your searches.
