BING VS Google - NEAR VS AROUND - LinkedIn XRay Searching

Recently I've started digging more into Bing X-Ray searching while working on Glen's challenge.

 

In my opinion NEAR works much better than AROUND.

 

Bing:

site:uk.linkedin.com sourcing NEAR:8 capgemini

62 results

 

Google:

site:uk.linkedin.com "sourcing" AROUND(8) capgemini

10k+ results

 

Most of the BING results are good while Google results are not accurate. In fact, even if you remove AROUND operator - number of results still remain same.

 

Any comments?

I agree-I've always indicated that I get inconsistent results with the AROUND operator which you have found also-
