Thanks so much, so I have a question.. how can the string be modified to only find people in the US (for example)?

Well let me be the first to start
I used this string to find Cost Estimating, w/Electrical Engineer background
site:www.linkedin.com (estimator OR "cost estimating") AND "electrical engineer" AND (P6 OR accubid) (inurl:com/pub OR inurl:com/in) -inurl:pub/dir
You know it works when you bring up a number of people that are already employees
Hi, I'm new to this site so hope you don't mind me making a suggestion so soon. I know you were talking about a way to organize all of your awesome strings and was wondering if you had considered using a Google doc spreadsheet that is shareable?

Hi Marion,
just add a City or even a zip-code "Range" for the area you are searching for.
e.g. 10001..10292 (for NY County)
Antonio

Look for Linkedin Profiles with website or email
site:linkedin.com (inurl:in|inurl:pub) front end developer "website * * com|net|io|me|de|org" -inurl:dir
site:linkedin.com (inurl:in|inurl:pub) front end developer "email * * com|net|org|edu" -inurl:dir
Look for resumes (Google Chrome) with email
inurl:resume front end developer "email * * com|net|org|edu"
Hi Rick! Looks like you posted this quite some time ago (but I just joined the network yesterday, so sorry for the late response). In regards to tailoring your Google search, I'd get rid of the "AND" statements (Google automatically assumes "AND" if you just have a space there, and limits the words to 32 words per string)
I'd recommend the following (if you wanted to keep your terms exactly how you put them), as this will get you 10 miles out from the zip code you mentioned:
(intitle:resume OR intitle:cv OR intitle:vitae OR inurl:resume OR inurl:cv OR inurl:vitae) -sample -samples -example -examples -job -jobs -template -templates -"resume service" Windows cluster ("system engineer” OR “systems engineer”) vmware powershell 20810..22102 (MD OR Maryland)
Sadly, Google only returned one resume with the terms you included. Therefore, I tried a different method using the area codes for that area (301 and 240) to elicit more responses. I used the following string and came up with 6 resumes instead of the 1 from last time:
(intitle:resume | inurl:resume | intitle:homepage | inurl:homepage) ("system engineer” OR “systems engineer”) vmware powershell -jobs -inanchor:apply -inanchor:submit -sample -samples -example -examples (240 OR 301) (MD OR Maryland)
Ultimately, I think your terms are a bit restrictive, but I wanted to keep them for example purposes. Hope it helps!
Adam

Can someone help me tweak my string for a google search? I'm looking for systems engineers in the Maryland area.. Actually I would really like to see resumes within 10 miles of zip code 20850 but that was not working for me either. Thanks for any help you can send my way!
inurl:resume-jobs-job-sample-samples-"resume service" AND Windows AND cluster* AND "system engineer" AND vmware AND powershell AND Maryland

Are you looking for help in building a string to find candidates with that experience? Any areas you're looking in particular?
