When Google displayes results, for many pages you will see two links: one to the current page and one to the "cached" page, i.e. the page that Google had copied into its internal database when it last visited the site. Quite often the page will be gone from the web but the cached page will still have, say, a resume with the contact info. Another way to access a cached page is to use cache:url
