Hi All,
I have an unusual search that I am trying to conduct a string on.
I have an opening for an online company for an infrastructure software engineer with the main skills being the following: hadoop, php, apache, linux, mySQL BUT here is the catch... They want them from either IIT (Indian Institute of Technology, MIT or similar high level tech school). He would love to sponsor someone's H1 to green card process and groom them within the company. HOW ARE EARTH DO I FIND THIS? They want a high level person. Ideally a Software/Infrastructure Engineer with a focus on developing highly scalable infrastructure for high volume internet based applications.
THANKS!

You can start by searching LinkedIn for members of Hadoop groups. (If they have Hadoop it's likely they will have experience with the rest, whether it's mentioned in the profile or not.) Here's a search to use on Google for members of the largest group - "Hadoop Users":
site:www.linkedin.com ("Software Engineer"|"Infrastructure Engineer") "Hadoop Users" (MIT OR "Massachusetts Institute of Technology" OR IIT OR "Indian Institute of Technology") -site:linkedin.com/pub/dir/
There are many other groups and/or obviously a lot of other top schools to include in your string. You could also x-ray LinkedIn looking for Hadoop in the skills section. This is still fairly new so the adoption rate isn't extremely high but it can help you to control years of experience. Here's an example:
site:www.linkedin.com ("Software Engineer"|"Infrastructure Engineer") "Hadoop * Expert" -site:linkedin.com/pub/dir/
You might also look for engineers coming out of one of the following co's or institutions that are using Hadoop:
http://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/PoweredBy
Good luck!
