I haven't been able to take any PDFs from LinkedIn and parse them into my firm's ATS since about yesterday. It converts as dots or gibberish and might include the "...people have recommended ____..." that often shows up at the end of their profiles. Also, trying to copy/paste from reader results in gibberish, too.
I took an old PDF from LinkedIn and it parsed fine, but new ones have this issue. Other types of PDF work fine as well. I'm curious if anyone else has run into this and if there are any workarounds. I'm about to go try google docs to see if its conversion will work.
Until our ATS figures out a workaround (if they do), it'll be a big pain trying to put people into our system from LinkedIn.
Any thoughts?

Hmm, not too surprising. So do you mean the upper level Recruiter account? If I'm not mistaken, that one's thousands of dollars per month. Right now I have the Talent Finder account and am running into these issues.
Thanks for the reply, Shane.
I just tried uploading a new, augmented PDF to google docs and it turned out alright. It did have images included unnecessarily so I downloaded it as a .txt file and it ended up pretty clean. Not the best, but it's something at least.
