Has anyone taken the Morgan Consulting group E-sourcing seminars?  Any thoughts or opinions as to whether they are worth it?

Anthony,

I recently heard about the course. Take a look at their page. They promise to teach you how to find 100 passive candidates per week. This is a bit last century. We can find 100 passive candidates in an hour!

Peter Lefkowitz is an old-time established recruiting trainer that is trying to expand his offerings. I got Peter's mass-email to join his workshop, apologized that I can't afford the expense, and asked him how he creates his materials. I wrote:

Dear Peter...

I am always interested in meeting the best sourcers and trainers.

How do you prepare your eSourcing materials? I’d be interested in talking with you about the training; please feel free to call.

Peter responded (love that spelling of my name!):

Well Irinia, I’ve had my eye on you as well!

Tricia has said some impressive things about you that she has gleaned from your blogs...

Someday, you and your partner should venture to the ranch for some old school knuckle to knuckle non “e” training.

Take care, Irinia. Hope we connect someday.

The outline of Peter's e-workshops look very familiar. :)

P.S. I love it that there are new sourcing classes offerings out there. Competition is great for any business. Peter's class is one of them. Jonathan Campbell is about to expand his training, currently based out of Ireland, and go world-wide, combining his efforts with Geoff Webb from Canada. They name their classes as colored belts (no formal relation to Glenn Cathey's "Black Belt"). Shane McCusker is teaching based out of South Africa. There's a new sourcing conference coming up with some names as solid as Glenn Gutmacher, Mike Notaro, and John Turnberg (though, knowing the speakers, that is going to be pretty advanced vs. basic teaching). It would be interesting to have a neutral party to compare the current sourcing classes, including classes from AIRS, in a post.
