What kind of string could I use to find names of pharma/biotech companies that have recently been bought or gone belly up?

Hi Susan,

Copy and paste this link. Check the first result on the page. It will give you mergers and acquisitions that happened in Jan 2009. To get more results go back to Google page and in the search box change the month or year.

Hope this helps a bit!

Kind Regards,
Medhavi
You could also try something like this on Google:
("* is a Pharmaceutical company"|"* is a Biotechnology company") (intitle:acquires|bankrupt|closes) 2008..2009
Results: http://twurl.nl/gr04ad

Good Luck!

Hey Kameron - Just out of curiosity, why is (intitle:acquires|bankrupt|closes) finding those word in the url as well?

Hi Kelly,

I hope Kameron wouldn't mind me answering this question on his behalf.
Using a string to get a particular word in the title doesn't mean that it cannot come in the url. No doubt it will be present in the title but will also get highlighted if it comes in the url.

Please correct me if I am wrong Kameron!

Regards,
Medhavi
