Hello everyone. I have never written a string and thought coming to all these Subject Matter Experts was probably a good place to start. What I am trying to do is find resumes in or near Laurel, MD and I am looking for Software Engineer's who have the following skills:

Java development (Applications, Servlets, JSP)
Web development (HTML, JavaScript)
DB interface development (Hibernate, Oracle )
Scripting languages (PERL/Ruby/Python/ActionScript)
Rapid Application Development (RAD) experience

....and they must have on their resume that they have a "Top Secret / SCI" clearance.

Am I able to have a script or learn how to write a script that would yield me resumes with the aforementioned information on it.???

Walter:

Please feel free to change any key words around, but due to the clearance requirement in addition to all your requirements, there are very few results:

In GOOGLE, insert:

site:www.linkedin.com (programmer | design | develop) java (oracle | hibernate) (rad | "rapid application develop") (ts | "top secret") "washington d.c. metro area" -intitle:directory

Gary
Thanks everyone
("top secret" OR SCI) "software engineer" MD resume -jobs

Would recommend starting with the TS/SCI since it is a must have and opening the search up to MD to provide an opportunity to identify networking contacts. I noted that many of the software engineers have several of the scripting languages. Give it a try and then add just one other dimension (scripting languages OR DB interface development) to see what type of results you get.

I noted this string does bring back some people who are "in the space" you are seeking.
this is excellent imho.

also, try searching by position title at companies or agencies you know require the security clearance, and omit the resume / top secret criteria from your query, look for online discussions etc. once you tap into a few of these beltway bandits though, and if you do right by them, they will refer friends, it's a tight knit bunch.

also, try patent or patent application searches, here's an example, for software people at companies doing government work, or gov agencies. a lot of times the "inventors" are software people, or manage software people. i believe people with security clearances can appear on patents. so they can TRY to hide, but : ) something like:

software AND IS/va AND CCL/707/$ AND (defense OR terrorism OR security)

here's the url:
http://appft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITO...

the IS/va means, search for "inventor state" of virginia. the "ccl/707/$" is a patent class pertaining to softwares. the /$ is a wildcard for the 707 class, to capture all of the sub classifications within that software classification realm (there are a number of other software classes, i can explain more if you want in private email)

good luck!
