Boolean Strings Network

The Internet Sourcing Community

Hello everyone!

First off, let me say how happy I am to have found this website. I've only been using it for a few hours, but have learned exponentially more than I would have without it.

Anyways, my name is James and I recently interviewed for a recruiting position and am having a bit of trouble getting my footing with it. I noticed your forums are a great source of help and was wondering if any of you would be so kind as to help point me in the right direction:

I'm currently seeking a Senior Lending Officer with 10+ years of experience to fill a job in Missouri. Only other requirements being that this person have Formal Credit Training and the ability to work with a team.

Given the research I've done, I comprised a simple string:

intitle: "resume"  -submit -apply -sample -template senior lending officer

I'm sure there are many ways to do this more thoroughly, but am unaware of how to do so. Can any of you offer some assistance or perhaps point me in the direction of someone/somewhere that can?

Thank you Mr. Brahme. That is definitely helpful. Do you have any advice for crafting these search strings in general that you can give me? I'm still getting a feel for the coding.

Hi James,

Another search you can from google try is:

site:twitter.com OR site:facebook.com OR site:linkedin.com  "Senior Lending Officer" OR "Sr Lending Officer"

Perhaps try to narrow by Missouri for less results.

Good Luck!
Chrissy

Hi Christine,

The search string you created looks amazing.

I have one question when i run below search it gave me results from mainly LinkedIn not from Twitter or facebook

site:twitter.com OR site:facebook.com OR site:linkedin.com  "mechanical engineer" OR "maintenance engineer"

But when I run below search and remove linkedin from string and then it gave me all junk mainly job adverts.

site:twitter.com OR site:facebook.com OR "mechanical engineer" OR "maintenance engineer"

Just want to check that am I doing anything wrong here ?

Thanks in advance

Gaurang

Welcome James...

Please try out this string .. the basic string

(lend OR Lending) AND ("Lending officer" OR "Senior Lending Officer")

Hi Gaurang,

Please try the below string for cleaning the results:

-job -jobs inurl:profile site:twitter.com OR site:facebook.com OR "mechanical engineer" OR "maintenance engineer"

Let me know if this worked for you.
