Howdy all,

I am trying to find Sales Directors in NYC and I am hitting the wall.  I have played around with this string - ("sales manager” OR "sales * director”)  AND (“unified communications” OR Telepresence)  NOT Engineer

and I am just not getting the results that I know are there.  Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong here?  Thanks!!

You can play around with the following string using Google:

site:linkedin.com ("sales director" | "director of sales") ("unified communications" OR Telepresence) "location * greater new york city area" (inurl:in | inurl:pub) -inurl:dir -engineer

Thank you Gary!!  I think the problem I was having was that I put an AND between the ().  That was throwing the whole thing off.

(intite:resume OR inurl:resume OR intitle:CV OR inurl:CV) AND Telepresence ("Sales * Director"|"Director * Sales") ("unified communications" OR "real time communication*" OR "Unite voice communication*" oR Telepresence) (NYC|NY|"New York")
~resumes|~CV ("Director * Sales"|"Sales * Director"|"VP * Sales") ("unified communications" OR "real time communication*" OR "Unite voice communication*" oR Telepresence) (NYC|NY|"New York") -job -jobs

You can also try these in a string:

"download my resume"

"resume * doc" OR "resume * pdf"

Rich,

FYI - Using AND between the parantheses should not have any impact on your results. Unless you specify otherwise, Google will assume you want all search terms in a query (i.e. black white = black AND white).

Good luck!
