Boolean Strings Network

Is there a search string that you can use to run a search on the status updates section on Linkedin? Some suggestions that would provide me maximum results? Ideally I am looking to be able to find specific skill sets that are activating their search. For example a Business Analyst in Atlanta who has changed their status.

This is what I have so far:

site:linkedin.com (inurl:pub OR inurl:in) -intitle:directory "greater atlanta area" "current * looking"
site:linkedin.com (inurl:pub OR inurl:in) -intitle:directory "greater atlanta area" "current * seeking"

Try something like this:
site:linkedin.com (inurl:pub|in) -intitle:directory "greater atlanta area" ("Business Analyst"|"business systems analyst") ("currently seeking * * *"|"looking for * * * ")

Keep in mind that the results from Google are not real-time, so their profile may have changed from the time it was indexed. You may be better off in this case searching via LinkedIn's advanced search feature using "Currently Seeking" OR "looking for" as keywords.

Good Luck!

Thank so much, just what I was looking for!

Anyone you are connected to on LinkedIN will show up on your Inbox page when their 'status' changes - ie profile, new position, etc
I think (and I might be wrong) all you can search for is what people put in their titles and bio (and, of course, they may say they are looking there). You can't search for someone's "status" from Google, the one that Gary talks about. The reason for that is that the status is not included in the public profile. You can't search the status'es from within LinkedIn either.
