I just came back from #trulondon, a 3 day
event in London, organized by
Bill Boorman and
Geoff Webb.
The first day was
#trusource, where
Katharine Robinson and I taught sourcing to one-half of a 40+ group of people from the UK and many other countries, while
Jim Stroud,
Geoff Webb, and
Marie Journey were teaching the other half of the group. (We switched at lunch.) It was a very pleasant experience. While we didn't have a formal agenda, we squeezed lots of knowledge into this day. The audience was attentive, asked lots of good questions, and seemed well educated on searching the web and on social media techniques.
The next two days was the 150+ attendees "un-conference" with friendly, informal atmosphere, free sharing of ideas by many recruiting experts within the sessions and in-between them. You can get a flavor of the event by looking at the #trulondon hashtag on twitter.
