Using search strings from board, not finding many resume results.

(intitle:resume OR intitle:cv OR intitle:viate OR intitle:profile OR intitle:bio OR inurl:resume OR inurl:cv OR inurl:viate OR inurl:profile OR inurl:bio) AND (insurance OR "risk manager") AND (carlsbad, CA) -job -jobs -sample

Are there just not a lot of resumes posted on Google?  The search string seems targeted to find resumes, but not getting a lot of results.  Are there any free resume databases or is an xray search of a site like Monster possible?

A couple of reasons due to Google's syntax requirements:

Google only accepts up to 32 words in a search string, so it is probably truncating the string before it gets to the location words. You might try just using (inurl:resume OR intitle:resume);

Google doesn't recognize special characters such as the comma (,);

Also try using in separate strings the area codes for Carlsbad (123 OR 456) (CA OR california), then try a zip code range such as: 12345..12400 (CA OR California); or try various commutable city names (Carlsbad OR city OR city OR city) (CA OR California) - NOTE: I just used sample area codes/zips - you'll need to use the real ones for Carlsbad area.

Hope this helps-

Gary
