I believe it's the location. If you run your search removing your location "greater stamford area", you will get approx 54 results.

I assume you mean "stamford, ct" location. On LinkedIN profiles, folks that live in that area express that location as "greater new york city area". Which does work, but that encompasses a very larger area - so the results may not be in the Stamford area. I suggest you use the zip code search for the Stamford area in your string - the format is zipcode..zipcode - Just replace 'zipcode' with the actual zip codes - it will find any zips between the 2 zip code numbers.

If that doesn't solve it, you can use a resume search in Google or open up the locations-
