Following on from my comment on the Boolean Strings discussion 'List of LI geographical areas', further investigation seems to point to the fact that there are 272 active location codes between 16 and 950.

Recently I was asked if I knew how to do a UK location-based search on LinkedIn and realised I didn’t because I didn’t know what the full list of UK LinkedIn locations was. This meant that I couldn’t determine if I had all those locations in any defined region and I couldn’t find a list of ALL UK locations anywhere.

Examining LinkedIn, it seems to have major locations like the town of Stevenage and allocates a code to these i.e. in-gb-4630-Stevenage with minor locations within…
