I am a full time recruiter at AgentHR ( http://www.AgentHr.com/jkaufman ) I am always looking for passive candidates, and one of the key ways to find marketable candidates is to search web profiles, social media, etc... using Boolean strings.

I also spend a lot of time doing common tasks like company research, telephone number look ups, finding out what time zone a candidate or company is in prior to calling, and searching job boards and job search aggregators for open positions.

It's cumbersome to copy and paste common Booleans all of the time, and keeping 6 tabs open in my browser just to quickly access all of the sites I use for research is impractical. So if you want to Search or a Java Programmer in Cleveland Ohio, and you'd like to add some additional Booleans, all you enter is: Java (Programmer OR Developer) Cleveland (Ohio or OH) The toolbar generates site:linkedin.com (inurl:in OR inurl:pub) -intitle:directory Java (Programmer OR Developer) Cleveland (Ohio or OH) This same search can be repeated for google, plaxo, craigslist, etc... with one click of a mouse, and you don't have to re-work your search string for each search.
