Search Google for LinkedIn profiles with current experience

Source:http://www.egrabber.com/TU422dA97

You can search for LinkedIn profiles with current experience in a particular domain.

The Google search syntax is as follows:

keyword (site:www.linkedin.com/pub OR site:www.linkedin.com/in) -"pub/dir" Experience Present

For example, if you want to search LinkedIn profiles with current experience in biotechnology, the Google search string will be:

biotechnology (site:www.linkedin.com/pub OR site:www.linkedin.com/in) -"pub/dir" Experience Present

Excellent! Am I correct to assume that we still need to use the -inurl:dir because without it, LI will gives us back the "profiles" list with multiple profiles with the same name?

Holly- "contact settings" in your string brings back just LI profiles vs other noise in the results such as directories, jobs, etc. It is shown on every LI profile. It does the same as (inurl:in OR inurl:pub)

Thanks Gary, I am much more comfortable using your syntax format. What does the term "contact settings" do for the search? I am curious...  Thanks  -Holly

Here's another way you can get "current" experience:

site:www.linkedin.com "current * * biotechnology" "contact settings" -inurl:dir
