There hasn't been a time that I haven't logged in where Gary hasn't added some value to the questions on the forum. I hope it continues but wish him so much success on his new position. Congrats again, Gary!
Thanks very much for your kind words, Irina.

I get great pleasure/satisfaction when helping others, therefore I enjoy it so much! I also get exposed to many different types of search strings from all industry sectors, so it keeps me on my toes!

With my new position start date approaching (see my LI profile for updates when I can mention the name of the company), I'm sure I will be busy - but will still try to make time to help as I can.

Thank you again!!!!
Thanks so much Shannon!

Congratulations and heartfelt thanks to Gary. You hear a lot of talk of how LinkedIn should be a "give first" type of network, but few people really follow that practice. Gary gets it.

Through a phone call and a handful of emails, I felt like Gary was posting not just to the group but to me as an individual. I hope I never have to compete against this guy. he's dangerous.

Tom
Thanks so much Tom! No worries, we won't be competitors!!

I joined the Boolean strings network on linkedin.com for networking purposes after getting laid off in November. I was just an average guy reading some of the posts while learning how involved and dynamic the Boolean string concept was, and realized that recruiters and human resource professionals really work hard to find and review potential employees. I was also trying to contact and approach various individuals to approach them with my resume for employment opportunities. Gary responded to one of my questions via the discussion board. Not only was he willing to respond to me, he also attached the formula (excuse my ignorance I’m an unemployed salesman not a HR pro) as an example to how I can research email formats at various companies. So I saved his email and the “formula” so I can research on my own. Gary had nothing to gain from helping me other than positive karma. And I was just one of many people Gary helped out. He is truly a kind and generous human being. I wish Gary luck and prosperity in the future!
Thank you Gary
Sincerely,
Paul Ostrowski
