Hi,
I attended Irina's Extracting Candidates from LinkedIn Seminar several months back.
As I understand, you can send messages to up to 50 ID’s of people who are not in your group by:
1. Finding a first level contact, then selecting “Send Message”.
2. Finding and copying the LinkedIn ID# then adding this to the recipient box, put a comma, then press enter.
Apparently, I can add up to 50 id’s in one email using this technique.
3. Compose the message, uncheck the “allow recipients to see each other” box.
4. Send the message.
My question is, when I do this as a test, it doesn’t appear to work. I’ve tried this several times using a colleague as my 1st level contact then adding my ID# to the recipient box. As a result, my colleague receives the message but I never do.
Am I doing something wrong?

You can only send messages to members of your groups and your first level connections. You cannot send a message to yourself. You cannot send a message to someone who doesn't share a group with you and is not your first level connection. If you send several messages, you will get no warning if at least one message is sent. You can see what has been sent in your Sent items folder.
Hope this helps,
Irina
Thanks, Irina. Yes, it does.
Joe
