Boolean Strings Network

The Internet Sourcing Community

"Career Kick Start" Junior Systems Engineering search BUT I have NO idea how to set up search string and here is why.

My search is to find a new grad 0 to 2 years experience with an MUST Have (are you ready for this !) GPA 3.7 in Bachelor Science Electrical Engineering,Computer Engineering, Math or phsics. Qualifiers would have to have some reference to information technology such as hardware, software, telecom, AutoCad-anything implying info tech exposure.

Any and all suggestions Thanks

3.7 only, or 3.7 or better? You could use the numrange function on Google

If you looking for new grads or recent grads you can x-ray local college websites to find those people with resumes stored on their servers.
for example on Google try:
site:ucsd.edu ~CV ("Computer Science" OR "Computer Engineering" OR Mathematics OR Physics OR EE OR "Electrical Engineering") (BS OR Bachelor) "3.7..4.0 * GPA" -MS -MBA -Masters -Phd -Doctorate

You can also search for resume books put out by colleges that include these recent grads:
(intitle:resumebook|"Resume Book")("Computer Science"|"Computer Engineering"|Mathematics|"Electrical Engineering") "3.7..4.0 * GPA"

Most colleges and universities will let you post on their career website for free, some will give you their "new grad book" which is a book of all the recent resumes of graduates usually having their GPA listed. Though I know this is a Boolean String Search Network I would start hitting the phone for a bit and asking college/univ. career offices. Before changing careers to staffing I worked in Student Affairs for Higher Ed and career service offices live by how many people they can find jobs, they want to help find you someone to fill their positions. It affects admissions rates as well (90% of our grads find a job right after graduation, etc.) Some even get bonuses based on how successful they are at finding grads positions. Hit the strings but hit the phones too.
Thank you. I was not aware you could post openings at university placement offices for free..

A handful will charge but the majority will do for free. They give you a log in and password or you have to fill out an online form for them to approve and they post. Good luck!
