Spokeo....tricky survey!!

Hello fellow sourcers/recruiters...

Just a quick heads up about a new survey that has come out from Spokeo.com.. TRICKY!!  Answer honestly and you'll most likely get your account revoked by the company sighting FCRA(fair credit reporting regulations) reasons. After trying to clear the error and get my account reinstated...the customer service rep actually recommended I go to ANOTHER company for my business!!

If you are like me, PREVIOUSLY  (NEVER USING AGAIN!!) using the service just to glean contact info to reach out to potential candidates, then we're looking for a new service... a few out there...

Whats your take on the other services?

What is the spokeo survey?  What did they ask you?

Unfortunately, I didn't keep it as I thought that it was harmless.. just a product improvement type of survey. But when I contacted Spokeo, they said that my account was revoked due to the way I was "using" the service. Apparently telling them that I was a recruiter, looking for contact information triggered their response, which from the answer that the rep gave me,  is un-reversable. Figured if I hadn't answered their survey at all, I might still be using their service. Ahhh well..

Workaround!!

Opened new account with new email address and payment method... got the same questionnaire.  This time I responded with "I use Spokeo to find friends and family" (a true statement, but not the whole story :-)     Haven't been blocked since!
