Hello there..I just had this question arose in my mind couple of days back...Is recruiting really possible without paid Job Portals (excluding LinkedIn)?

Please let me know if there is any way out!

Hi Patrick,

I think it is possible but not as easy without at least a couple of boards. You can search a myriad of sites using Boolean and you can learn how to do that from Irina and her team via the webinars. I have taken quite a few and really enjoy them and learn tricks I did not know.

Hey David,

Thanks for your response, I would love to take the webinars as soon as I get some time. :)

Patrick

Depends, but I'd say yes: if you actively source (see previous answer) or if you put effort into spreading the word via your social media audience, it is possible. Sourcing and recruiting has seen many interesting opportunities, methods (and tech-startups) in recent years, I guess it is time to look for these instead of relying on good old job boards. :)

Patrick,

Yes, it is absolutely possible to recruit without paid Job Boards. You would need to learn to search on various platforms. For example, to look for Software Engineers, you could source on Github and many other places such as Stackoverflow and Kaggle.

Additionally, sharing your jobs via social media can help.

David - thanks for the recommendation! :) Patrick: take a look at our popular Sourcing Training Library and upcoming webinars to learn some tips and techniques.
