Below is an example of how I often filter Google Searches to return only resumes instead of jobs and other unwanted links:

(inurl:resume|intitle:resume|intitle:cv|intitle:vitae) KEYWORD KEYWORD KEYWORD -jobs -job

I think some brilliant mind in this network taught me--thanks!!

Are there any other examples anyone wants to share for how to filter for only resumes?

Hello Mr. Anthony,

Here is something more beneficial...

(intitle:resume OR intitle:cv OR intitle:viate OR intitle:profile OR intitle:bio OR inurl:resume OR inurl:cv OR inurl:viate OR inurl:profile OR inurl:bio) AND (keyword OR "phrase 1" OR "phrase 2" OR keyword) AND (location OR city OR zipcode OR country) AND (skill1 OR skill2 OR "skill with phrase") -job -jobs -sample

Hope this would help you out...

I also try to avoid sample resumes to filter relevant resumes.

(inurl:resume|intitle:resume|intitle:cv|intitle:vitae) KEYWORD KEYWORD KEYWORD -jobs -job - sample -samples

Medhavi

Medhavi,

I tried this: inurl:resume|intitle:resume|intitle:cv|intitle:vitae) sherware -jobs -job - sample -samples

because I am looking for candidates with an oil & gas sogtware package called sherware. Google gave me some strange results. What did I do wrong?

Thanks.

Jim
Sorry for the late reply. I was away from Booleans for few days. It seems there aren't many candidates with sherware software experience. This should be the reason why Google gave irrelevant results. Linkedin also gave very few results.
Primary source of sourcing like job boards, job postings and networking might help. If you have filled the position; then please let me know the source you have used to get the right candidate.

Kind Regards,
Medhavi
