The article is a pretty good overview for beginners but I'm not a fan of the "resume database" he links to in the article. The logic behind the Google CSE they're using doesn't work very well and the results contain a lot of noise. It's also a bit misleading to call it a resume database, its just an inteface to searching Google.
I agree with Kameron on the big5hire site regarding 'noise'. If you try a search, the results you get from LinkedIN have many 'directories' in them vs actual profiles. It's almost like they are not filtering out the -intitle:directories noise!
