Searching google for '@' signs?

I figured out a way to do it... I have a feeling google will stop it soon, but for now you can see how I did it on my blog^^

You are a true genius. It does look for @ibm including the "@". Google Coop Synonyms opens up a new playground. :)

Have you explored synonyms some more? If we want to find email addresses, I think, we need some more tricks. It seems to look for the word @ibm with a space before it.
I noticed that it doesn't like a period in a synonym, but it does accept a good number of other special characters, such as the question mark.

yes... playground couldn't be a better description. it's a little funny, but if you play with things, you can make them work. i had problems trying to embed the synonyms into the background... took a long time to make that work, and it only seems to work about 50% of the time.

also, if you play w/ the index feature inside of the coop.... you can force google to index specific sites which is like... ridiculous. so if you find a site w/ info and possibly backdoors, you can force google to index all areas of it which is... amazing

concerning google's search for special characters, currently law prohibits such things. there are work arounds, and this one happens to be one, though I don't know how long google will allow this since... well, i've kind of exposed it.

the google coop is a custom search engine you define. you tell it what sites you want it to exclude, or include as well as pre-define strings as refinements which you can apply w/ a simple mouse click. this allows you to stack multiple strings, far exceeding the typical 32 limit. you should make one and play w/ it yourself. when logged into your google account, just visit this link and it'll take you to the "make coop" page.
