Hi!

I'm hoping someone can help me with an odd search string.  I work for a railroad maintenance company in the US (MN) and we are looking to hire someone that is currently here as part of OPT (optional practical training) as a Mfg Project Engineer.  They must be a citizen of India as they will be hired here, but will be working as a project engineer in India.

I've tried a standad intitle / inurl search for a project engineer with OPT and citizen of India but coming up with people living in India, not the US.

Any help would be Greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Rosie

Have you tried searching for F1 or F-1? Many people that are eligible for OPT are here on an F1 visa but don't list it on their resume. Alternatively you could search for Masters or Phd candidates that don't list any visa information as they may be eligible for OPT.

Good Luck!

I would suggest searching for colleges / universities in India specializing in engineering degrees then adding those schools into your search. If the candidate lists a foreign school on their resume, chances are they are originally from that area. (try this site: http://www.rediff.com/money/2005/jun/28spec.htm) You can then add current geography (zip codes, town names, states) to locate the candidates that currently list a US residence as their home address.

Hope this helps - Good Luck,

Chrissy
Kameron / Chrissy, thank you!! I'm going to try both of those suggestions! I did 'stumble' upon a PhD resume but haven't heard back from that person yet. Great suggestions, thank you! Rosie
