What is the Minimum and Maximum Salary for a person working as Clinical Trials specialist in North Carolina OR Massachusetts.

What's the functional role (titles like that can mean many things) - what's the scope of responsibility? Greatly affects price. Also, this is for a pharma or CRO? Because universities and hospitals may also employ this title but it usually has a different meaning there.

If you're meaning something like a typical CRO/Pharma clinical trials assistant/specialist, again depending a bit on the company and what part of the state (RTP or out in the sticks for NC, Boston/Cambridge or Western MA?), my experience (and I do not have data to back this, so take it for what it's worth) is roughly the following:

1) NC - Range ~$50-$70, depending on specific scope, assuming job is with larger firm in major metro.
2) MA - Range ~$60-$90, depending on scope, assuming large firm and Boston area.

Again, assuming this is NOT an entry level role, or a senior / specialty role with unusual requirements, and these are very rough estimates.

I think, if nothing else, these ranges would be generally competitive from an employer perspective. May not get you lots of love from the candidate side, though.

I would recommend taking the info you have on the req you're working, and doing more detailed research using sites like glassdoor.com, salary.com, and the like. Also: looking at target salaries posted by jobseekers for this title on Monster/CB/other related. BLS is a good starting point, too, but not sure how they tend to code these jobs and there's a lot of room for skew there.

I would suggest also joining a Comp Analyst professional group, if you want better response rates. ;) After all, detailed comp data analytics is a bit beyond the scope for most of us dedicated recruiting/sourcing types.
