What sites are you currently looking at as replacement site for LinkedIn? As they push more and more for us to pay I am sure that many of you are already checking out other sites.
Hi Lisa,
I am not sure there will be a "replacement site" for LinkedIn. Here are a few stats from earlier this year - I can only imagine each have grown since as social media becomes more popular each day.
* Twitter now has 75m user accounts.
* LinkedIn has over 50m members worldwide..
* Flickr now hosts more than 4 billion images.
* More than 35m Facebook users update their status each day.
* Facebook currently has in excess of 350 million active users on global basis (Generally growing 40% every 5-6 months)
* Facebook claims that 50% of active users log into the site each day. This would mean at least 175m users every 24 hours.
Facebook is still changing - perhaps as users become more comfortable with being able to list "business" contacts separate from "personal" contacts, recruiting will become easier from this site.
Also, while its a pain, you can still locate the last name of a third connection by opening that persons profile and then clicking on a name listed under "viewing the profiles also viewed" section...more then likely that persons full name will show in the next listing.
Hi all,
If you have trouble seeing the last name of a 3rd level connection, feel free to forward profile to me or to another friend. That helps. You can send yourself a copy.
