Hi All,

I am facing problem in LinkedIn advance search.

Trying to find out profiles having "mobile commerce", but LI is giving unexpected results in which mobile and commerce are considered as two different words with few correct results.

Kindly help me.

Thanks in advance..

Zulfigar,

What are your other search terms/parameters? When I do a plain keyword search (otherwise unrestricted) for "mobile commerce", the first page or so of results seems to meet the criteria, for the most part.

David,

for the first 3 pages it is giving correct results but after that the keywors like "Mobile payments", "Mobile Banking" are appearing in the results, Might be t is picking the terms related to "Mobile Commerce"

Zulfiqar,

The mobile payments and mobile banking spaces overlap with mobile commerce heavily. Actually, mobile banking doesn't overlap quite as closely as payments does, so this is where you need to carefully review results. Mobile payments are the core of mobile commerce, though. You might want to exclude "ecommerce", if you are strictly looking for people in the mobile but NOT the web spaces. Ecommerce will get pulled in and may get false positives from it - another weak overlapper, possibly worse than mobile banking.

Again, try excluding terms to avoid this - may be all that helps.

LinkedIn always does this, btw, includes synonyms and variations, even for "" phrases. I am not sure there is any way to do a strict verbatim search with LI advanced search.

David,

Thanks for your sugesstions.
