When sourcing from Twitter, use the word 'following' in your string as every Twitter profile has the word 'following' on it so you will get mostly profiles/bios in your results:
In Google for example, here's a sample string:
site:twitter.com following "java developer" "location * ca" -job -recruiter
Just change the titles/skills to suit what you are searching for!
Have fun!

You can also look them up on LI or on pipl.com or Google them or look them up on many look-up sites-
Permalink Reply by Holly Mallowes on October 6, 2011 at 7:51am Thanks Gary! I use LI or pipl on a daily basis for researching candidates (which sometimes feels like I'm stalking them out with all the info available on the web... kinda scary, lol). I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing an easy/obvious way on Twitter since I technology is ever changing!
BTW, are you going to SourceCon next week?

We can also try using intitle:"on twitter" in the string in place of following....
